Here's a jumble of points as I think of them, both the good ones and the bad ones:
A real head turner of a Westlander. Built in Holland in 1936 to transport tulips bulbs, converted in the 1950s.
Marinised 1950's Mercedes Hanomag tractor engine - which works for now, but will want a proper overhaul, or replacing (you'd be able to sell it to a tractor engine enthusiast for sure...)
The interior has been stripped out to make way for fitting out as you desire. Brand new custom hardwood double glazed windows.
Wooden floor is in ok condition, could do with sanding down and re-varnish.
No longer *new*, but unused 5 kw secondary burn woodburner.
Large stainless steel water tank.
A small calorifier which heats water from the engine.
New unused Bosch combi boiler.
The collapsible wheelhouse has been custom built, but needs finishing.
Just had a new brass control panel fitted and boxing built for the wheel and morse throttle control.
There's a bit of corrosion on the gunwhales, most of which have been patch welded, but a few more repairs would be ideal.
Anchor chain and manual winch winder.
Nice wide gunwhales, good deck space.
With a 9ft beam, It feels spacious inside, while still being compact enough for London cruising.
Built for river cruising or short coastal hops, handles the tidal Thames no problem.
Blacked last year. Recent BSS.
Hull was observed to be in good condition, with some decently done overplating - the guys at the yard where I had it out for blacking said it looked good.
With a bit of work and attention this could be a delight of a boat. I just don't have the time energy commitment to make it happen.
Why not jump aboard and make this your dreamboat...
