Dutch Sailing Klipper - 1912
Currently on a winter mooring till the end of Feb in Sharpness (on the Gloucester/Sharpness canal).
Was built in Snakkerburen Frisland and was used as an inland and coastal cargo transport boat.
Currently insured for coastal passages and inland waterways for £120,000
Approx. £200,000 has been spent on this vessel over the last 14 year period.
The barge was purchased in 2007 as an original empty unconverted vessel and has since been professional fitted from the hull up (some fixing works still to be finalised). Some of the works includes - newly installed back cabin super structure, steel roof covering over main hold with large skylights, new full length rubbing strakes, near full length gunnel replacement with rigging chainplates, over plating works to sea worthy standard.
