The Aqua-Star Pacesetter 27 MK2 is a semi displacement cruiser designed as a safe fuel-efficient sea boat. The Aqua-Star is a modern and safe touring vessel, suitable for the cooler days - helmed from the comfortable saloon and, with manoeuvring equipment in the open protected by the fashionable windbreak, for warmer days. The self-draining cockpit is large with a sensible depth. It contains an electric bilge pump, transom seat and three lockers. The spacious wheelhouse has excellent all-round visibility. Standard features include: spoked steering wheel, rack steering controls, two electric windscreen wipers, engine instrumentation with key-start switch, audible alarm to engine, single lever engine controls, a storage locker, lock to wheelhouse door, a hatch above helmsman, compass and an echo sounder. The after bulkheads is complete with a door and lock. This helm position is a day saloon cabin. Two extra berths can be used with the dinette. The fore cabin features: two upholstered full length berths suitable for three with a centre fill-in, wrap-round back rest, standing head room, access to chain locker, teak shelving and teak lockers, lockers above and below work top, four-inch cabin cushions, and four toughened glass side windows. The compartment is finished in hard-wearing carpet material. The toilet compartment is fitted with: ventilator, wash hand basin, shower, sea toilet with bronze gate valves and moulded shower tray. The galley is fitted with a two-burner cooker and grill, a ventilator over the galley, and a stainless steel sink with electric fresh water pumped from a tank.
The hull form and Aquastar long keel give a m ore comfortable ride than the V bottom and increase directional and lateral stability. The Aquastar weighs out of the boatyard at a third heavier than most , apart from getting more boat for your money, this prevents too lively a motion.The antifouling hull is fitted with a timber keel band. There are two spray rails forward and two bronze propellers.The water injected engine is fitted on flexible mounts. There is a big 4.5D fender around the gunwale. Aquastar have been building world class boats for over 25 years, they are among the most spacious available in the size range. Aquastar boats are moulded for many Government Departments such as the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries , Trinity House etc....
