the barge was completed in winter 2007 and came first time into the water at the beginning of 2008
the running time of the Perkins engine is 1600 hours

in 2013, 2017 and 2021 the barge was in the shipyard for the new underwater coating ( 2K-Barrier Coating)
in 2016 a stern thruster was installed with 10 horse power
in 2017, a double SEPA filter system was installed
new batteries were installed in 2019
Extraordinary for a Sagar is the custom made railing, the designer bench on the outside of the stern and the
comfortably installed deck ladder.All are custom made from steel

Accommodation

This barge is the ideal two-person appartment with comfort and cosiness, whether in the harbour or on the way on the beautiful canals in France, Belgium, Holland...
The facilities (water, heating, tank, etc.) are so well thought out that you can be independent for quite a while, mooring in nature without missing the comfort.
And if children or friends want to accompany you, no problem, the small guest room offers them for their own comfort:
2 single beds, a shower, washing basin and a separate toilet.
Guests and friends are separated by the Weelhouse
The main living area with a very nice and well-equipped kitchen, a bright, modern living room, a cosy dining area for two and a comfortable bedroom with ensuite bathroom.
Washing machine with dryer, grill, microwave, oven are of course included as well as a 4 K TV.
The lovely wood-burning stove ( red Diesel) brings not only cosiness but also great warmth in winter!

Construction

the Weelhouse is designed so that it can be de-installed to a bridge height of 2 m.
this also has the advantage that you can have an "outdoor seating area" in summer as you wish
the details of the interior design of the Weelhouse is extremely practical and variable in possibilities and offers space for many guests.
this barge can also be inhabited and used in winter, the good insulation and the two built-in heating options make it comfortable in winter as well.
the well-designed deck window in the living room offers brightness and keeps temperatures pleasant in summer
the whole construction of the barge is well thought out and solidly made of steel from the ground up.

Fly screens, movable awnings, screens for the Weelhouse as sun protection are further equipment, and in the outdoor area there is a practical sturdy steel ladder and accessories for safe mooring in the countryside
Satellite dish and space for 2 gas bottles (13kg each) are located in the bow area
