Steel Away is a Piper dutch barge, built 2017. Excellent condition much loved and admired 57' nervanais 6 berth
boat with folding wheel house, aft deck canopy complete with all weather sides and fly screens. She also has a rigid inflatable tender with electric outboard on a removable stern frame/bathing platform.
We are only selling her as we can no longer use her as we would like due to family illness care needs.
Steel Away is a category C boat laid out as a luxury live aboard /long term cruiser for 2,though comfortably sleeps 6. Mechanically sound and easy to handle with bow and stern thrusters, rudder position indicator, speed log and chart plotter etc. She has a new boat safety certificate to March '29 and is booked for Hull blacking, anodes check and new propeller shaft valve penta stuffing box this March (costs included in the boat price). Main engine, generator and central heating boiler are all serviced regularly and working perfectly (less than 600 engine hours). 200w Solar panels on roof. Aft deck:- synthetic teak decking, stainless steel rail round, table and chairs, low level lighting and canvas canopy plus sides.

Wheelhouse:- solar panels over, double glazed windows with blinds, 6 seater table and bench style couch seating (converts to large double bed). Central steering position with nav aids, controls and radios. Chart plot space, 2x drawers and radiator. Front screen with wiper easily folds independently to allow that outdoor cruising feel and good air flow on warm days. Steps to engine room and companion way down to accommodation.

Galley:- well equipped with neff appliances of gas hob (filtered extractor over), electric oven/grill, dishwasher and microwave.
There are ample cupboards and drawer space with corrian work tops, stainless steel sink (with extra filtered water tap). Also drawer fridges (x3) and drawer freezer (x1). Plus radiator, 2 double glazed windows with roman blinds and blackouts.

Saloon:- large double glazed opening dog box light well in ceiling with blind and fly screen. 4 double glazed windows with roman blinds and blackouts. Large radiator, stainless steel reflects diesel stove and various built-in cupboards. TV with satellite receiver from roof mounted self seeking dish. Large settee, converts to very comfortable king size bed, plus 2 leather stressless recliners and foot stools.

Office/utility room:- double glazed porthole with roman blind. Desk, worktop and various cupboard spaces, including AEG washer/dryer, coat hanging, general storage and heated airing cupboard.

Main shower room:- double glazed porthole, electric toilet, shower and sink with cupboard under, and mirrored cabinet over. Extractor fan and heated towel rail.

Main bedroom:- 3 double glazed portholes with roman blinds, blackouts and fly screens, 2 radiators and air conditioning, (very useful to cool room before bed on those hot sultry nights!). Bow facing escape window with roman blind and blackout. King size ottoman bed, large wardrobe, plus further cupboards and drawers including a built-in laundry basket.

En-suite:- double glazed porthole, shower, electric toilet and sink plus 2 cupboards, heated towel rail and extractor fan.

Engine(s)

Engine room accessed via steps from wheel house. Main engine is 90hp Beta marine with PRM gearbox.
5.5kw kohler generator (extra controls in galley). Hot water calorific cylinder, kubola .central heating boiler.
Batteries, weed hatch and steering mechanism access plus master volt 24 volt and 3.5kw inverter controller and battery charger etc, also supplying ample240v outlets throughout the boat.
