I am selling my renovated Dutch Barge now that I have moved back East from Heathrow where I had been living on Bliidskip on the River Thames. It is currently moored at Ipswich Haven Marina on a residential mooring that is already paid until the end of the year.

The boat was taken out of the water, blackened and all anodes replaced for marine ones in October 2023 onsite at Ipswich Marina. The photos will show that the hull was in excellent condition and no other work on it was required. There is a large rope bumper that covers the entire circumference of the boat, which I have been told is worth several thousand on its own.

The only minor issue I can report is that I was not happy with the way the bathroom light was wired so it has been disconnected and replaced with a rechargeable one.

Since I have had the boat I have renovated it inside and out with new paint work in Teamac marine colours, new ceiling fan light, curtains, daybed and insulation of internal walls with carpet tiles. There have been no leaks in the water system since the 5L plastic hot water tank was replaced by a 10L metal one 2 years ago. The heating is via a diesel powered 12v hot air system and the Mercedes engine was serviced by a mechanic in 2023.

There is a working shower and I am including with the boat a working: 1 year old Nature’s Head composting toilet, Cookworks oven, 750w microwave, 240v fridge freezer and Tempur double mattress (as it is too heavy to try and get off the boat again!) Yes I have a big giant TV, I love my big giant TV, that will come with me.

On the back of the boat covering the entire generous deck area is a catio that I built from cargo netting to keep my pet cat safe, which it has done for the past 2 & ½ years. This is attached to the boat via clips and can be removed easily if it is not needed. Equally I am happy to leave it in place.

I also have a 1&½ year old 5kw diesel generator for use on the boat which would be included if I am offered the asking price. Otherwise a price for it can be negotiated.

I am interested in selling, as once I sell the boat, I could afford a property this side of the country. However if the boat does not appeal to anyone then I will happily remain on it, so only sensible offers will be considered.
