“Georgette” (built in 1962) is a beautiful 45’ x 9’ Dutch barge (“Kagenaar”) in excellent condition throughout with very pleasing lines. She is a comfortable live-aboard or holiday cruiser, currently registered as continuous cruiser. She is a flat bottom with just 2’8” draft. The drop-down wheelhouse and large aft deck provide plenty of space for socializing. She’ll come with a wonderful garden and a screen on the deck for outdoor cinema in the summer. The interior has been upgraded by an architect; with a brand new DEFRA approved Hobbit Salamander multi-fuel stove, a large crème white sofa and plenty of storage space. The layout allows for cozy dinners with up to 6 people around the table easily. There is an enormous double bed, which can also be converted into two single beds if desired. The interior is very bright and the space is filled with light through the large windows. The exterior of the boat has been maintained very well and a full repaint was completed in summer 2020.
There is a second heating system provided by a Webasto diesel powered central heating system, which has a seven-day timer. This system provides hot water for the boat as well and works perfectly.
The powerful Mistubishi/Samofa 2.0L Diesel engine provides plenty of power for tidal rivers and extended cruising. Last year a brand new alternator was fitted and three new leisure batteries plus a starter battery have been installed.
She is fitted with a solar panel, charge controller and Victron 1200v inverter, also 240v hook-up. Kitchen includes a 3-way fridge and 4 rings gas hob. Wet room shower and chemical toilet.
All electrics have been refitted in 2019. New wheelhouse cover. Hydraulic steering makes for effortless cruising and is simple to maneuver.
BSS till 2022. Hull survey dated 2018.
