Classic Groninger Tjalk for sale due present owner retiring. Charlotte Anne is a tastefully converted, Dutch Canal Barge currently lying in Nancy, FRANCE. Interior consists of two large sleeping cabins, both with emperor sized double beds and ensuite facilities. The barge has been our own home for the past 2 years during which we have cruised the canals of North Eastern France. Technically, she is in excellent condition. Last out of water survey was in November 2007, with all documents verified. 150 HP DEUTZ main engine, 12 KVA diesel generator, battery chargers and 1000 Watt Inverter. New batteries May 2009. Premier Houseboats are pleased to present this lovely cruising barge, an ideal liveaboard which underwent a complete refit in 2008. There are two cabins, the main cabin includes fitted wardrobes and afitted double bed with plenty of storage underneath. There is a separate toilet and bathroom with a full sized bath.The light and airy fitted kitchen has a gas hob and electric oven, fridge, freezer, and a washing machine/tumbler. There are fitted cupboards the full length of both sides, so no problems with storage. There is a lovely wheelhouse , with comfortable seating to enjoy the panoramic views, which also converts to a comfortable double bed. The engine room is under the wheelhouse and houses a Gardner Kromhout diesel engine. The boat also has a Kabola boiler (in separate area) central heating system. Outside there is a good sized deck area ideal for plants, or just for sitting and enjoying the surrounding area. A lovely way to enjoy life afloat.ideally situated for all main road and rail routes. There is a survey from 2008 available. |

This Lady is an authentic Dutch Steel Gronningham Tjalk.
Made for cruising Dutch canals, she benefits from a very low air draft and is very easy to handle. She has a cosy warm interior which is enhanced by the wooden joinery. She would be a cosy liveaboard for a couple. However there is plenty of room to have visitors to stay.
The current owner fell in love with this vessel in Holland. She sailed her back and has used her as a liveaboard.
She is located in a marina which is convenient for motorway and rail links to London and the Channel Tunnel. She is not being offered with her present mooring, however the owner informs me that the new buyer should be able to approach the marina management for permission to remain.
