This Converted Regency Shear Barge is on a mooring near to Colchester town centre.

This little Barge is a scaled down Tjalk with a teak coachroof.
Built in 1941 in Holland and used by the nayy as a sail training boat for officers. Three were made but this is believed the last in existence.
Subject to a full restoration and featyured on the front cover of Das Boot in the 80s.
It has full sailing equipment, working leeboards and fully serviced Yanmar 10 diesel.
This boat causes commotion wherever it goes. It is presently moored on the river near Henley with the mast lying amiships.
